It's a wonder how the climate affects my blogging. Winter was not a good season for me. Blah. Shaza and the cold do not mix well. In fact, I don't recall doing anything spontaneous during the last three months -- yes, there was a lot of socializing and eating but that was it. I didn't shop a lot, nor go on random walks around the city... I studied a lot too. Yes, winter fashion was fun, but expensive and tiring to wear...
NOW, I feel like shopping again! I stepped into Cotton On for the first time in three months! (maybe because I was super broke the last few months after the snowboarding trip..)
Before I go back to Malaysia I wanna get:
- a blazer
- chunky heels
- a sundress (yellow! Wheee)
- denim shorts
- grey leggings
- white oversized shirt
Just waiting for my allowance to bank in...

YAYAYAY DAPAT F21!
Yayayay! The big package (more like a TV-sized cardboard box) of items from Forever21 arrived yesterday morning! The box was so heavy that the delivery lady had to ask help from Hazman to carry it up the stairs into the house. Must be all those boots.
The quality is extremely good for dirt cheap prices! Honestly I'm not joking. The $9 jeans, the $11 winter jacket, the $23 Balmain-inspired military jackets (my housemates' stuff) -- all with superb quality stitching, material and cut. I got three items for RM120 (plus extra RM30 for shipping) -- a large slingbag, sequinned wallet and a tie-dye blazer! You can't get prices like that at Malaysia's F21. In fact I've never bought any F21 clothes in Msia -- too expensive. Definitely gonna order some more, hahah.

It's Friday Night...
1. My office had a little farewell makan-makan for me at Kayu Nasi Kandar. Awww. Terharunya. They even helped me print out my convo stuff right before I left the office. I like the KL branch millions times better than JB. Nothing against the staff, of course. I love the JB people too. It's just... the environment I guess. I actually felt sad when I left the mamak.
2. Went straight to KL Sentral and picked up Nabilah. Went to Naz's open house. Heheh. Kali ni tak sesat lol. I ingat lagi dulu nak gi rumah Bel, boleh terbabas sampai Rawang/Sg Chou. Actually my navigation skills have gotten better (even though my sucky driving skills is still the same). I haven't gotten lost since a few months ago hehehehehe. The trick is to pandai baca jalan... and not landmarks. I mean, how the hell am I supposed to know that a sign saying Ipoh/Kuantan is actually the way back to Sri Hartamas?? Practice makes perfect.
3. Met up with my archy batch at Naz's house. Ramai datang, yay!! Me, Nabilah and Bel were the first few of the batch to arrive. Pastu berbatak dengan foto Naz yang dia tampal kat cermin ruang tamu hahahah. Cot memang bodoh. My archy batch is still the best :)

I'm struggling to keep a grip on my bearings and aspirations. When it's the hard cold life, you tend to lose the rose-tinted idealistic views of a student and instead start to grit out at the edges.
Responsibilities, limitations... it's enough to make you think twice. I believe that every fresh architecture graduate enter the workplace with bright, idealistic views, hoping to change the world with their dreams -- only to be shot down repeatedly with disappointments. In the end, we become as cynical as the others.
Y'know. Like a naive, young driver who's always bullied on the road, who becomes one of the bullies in order to survive.
Anyways, I got back some of my strength from the highly-anticipated 'Bukak Puasa Picnic at Padang MBSA with my ex-Batchmates. And ex-ARC08 friends.'
Picked up Nabilah at Sentral, and then we headed to Shah Alam Stadium to buy some food to share. When we got there, there really was no need to bring any food, it turns out -- there was a hugeeeeee pot luck banquet in front of us. I was amazed. I still love my ex-batchmates. I guess my heart lies in Uitm, and not high-school. There's just some sort of unity between 60++ people that you can't find in any other high school in the world.
After that, Nabilah and I stopped by the studios to check up on the juniors. Haven't met them since ages~~ rindu pulak the environment. The furniture design final projects of last sem was still there, hanging around as if to symbolize that we were there once. Sedih.
This pictures are dedicated to Hafeez, Bee, Bel, Ayu, Syima, Ziela, and others who didn't/couldn't get to come. There are more on Facebook anyways.... but still. Wish you were here.

Oh yeah. We saw a car on fire in the middle of the Federal Highway when I sending Nabilah back. Gila la. Teringat pulak my own little 'accident' during bulan puasa last sem.
Pastu, I got caught in a traffic jam at Cheras. afdkfhkebfrirgj tak tahan betul! It was 12 midnight and there was like a freaking jam in the middle of a surburban area. I get really hot-tempered behind the wheel, but still tahan lagi la, konon sebab bulan puasa. But as soon as I got to the cause of the problem: cars parked on both sides of the road that made two lanes to become one -- I was like: "F^(% B^$&@ S$%#! FOXTROT UNIFORM CHARLIE KILO!!!!!" (sorry, censored due to bulan Ramadhan) Come on la! Stupid Malaysian drivers! Geram betul!
I'd like to write more but my annoying cat is trying to kill my mouse by chewing on its wires. She thinks it's alive.

FMA: BROTHERHOOD EP 1
Animation: 10/10
No worries here~~ Bones studio is famous for its high-quality animations, and even the old FMA had great graphics during its time. Now the animation had risen two notches above, due to the fact that it's already been 5 years since the old FMA had ended. The OP video took my breath away. The fighting scenes with Isaac was also nicely done, I loved the part when Al shielded Ed from Isaac's attack -- and during that same frame, you can catch a glimpse of Isaac running out of the alley. The attention to detail is just amazing! Superb graphics. But then again, the first episode will always have the best quality. We'll see if the animation stays constant for the upcoming episodes.
Plot: 8/10
Since this is an anime-original episode (don't worry, it'll delve into the manga in the next episode), I thought that it was a decent way to introduce the characters for the new series. It was a bit rushed, and too many characters were involved... but in this way, old fans wouldn't get bored, although new fans would be slightly confused. But if the next episodes are following the manga closely, then it'll be no worries at all when it comes to the storyline. Yep, since the manga's plot rocks.
Voices: 9/10
Ed and Al's voices were reprised by their original seiyuus, Paku Romi and Rie Kugimiya, I don't see any problem with that. But maybe within these 5 years, Paku Romi had developed a more... 'coarse, manlier' voice perhaps? Considering that she's a girl. Haha. I like how she made Edward's voice a tad more manly. And less noisy.
The first time I heard Roy voiced by Shinichiro Miki, I was a bit jarred by the fact that he sounded so young. Maybe I'm still used to Okawa Tohru's voice... but as the episode progressed, I started to like Roy's new voice. Kinda suave and charming. I kept on imagining Lockon's face as I listened to Roy. And the fact that Hughes's seiyuu also voiced Ali Al-Sanchez in Gundam 00... weird having Ali and Lockon talk to each other as best friends instead of hardcore enemies... LOL. And Kimbley's seiyuu was also a nice surprise.
Characters: 9/10
Al kicks ass this time! Yeah!! It's great to see both Elric brothers skillful in battle. Ed seem less bratty compared to the old FMA, and that's an improvement. Although I missed the 'Who's smaller than a speck of grain that you need a microscope to see???' thing he used to do. I didn't think I'd actually like Isaac, but I did -- he has a good sense of humour (even in the heat of battle!) and his Water Alchemy is AWESOME. Now I wish that there was a water alchemist in the manga...
Other than that, hmm. The rest of the characters seem to be IC with the manga. Works for me.
OVERALL: 9/10
All in all, I'm satisfied by the first episode. Hurry up and show ep 2 already! It'll be about the Elric brothers' past. Can't wait!

We wanted a place to take pictures, so Nafis brought us to this cave in Medan Gopeng, Ipoh. At first we were cursing him for bringing us so far off from UITM (we thought it would be somewhere near UTP), but after we saw the cave at full length we shut up.
Is it allowed to carve a habitat in the mountains of Ipoh?? I wonder how they passed the authorities...

Anyways, my aunt gave me a bunch of vintage accessories and this is one of those that I absolutely love. It's originally a tie for cowboys, I used it as a necklace instead. There was another one that I also adore, a string of pearl bracelet.I miss Perak ;_;

I'm now doing finishes to the BC presentation after friday prayers. After class, it's Bota and Uitm Perak and Artistry and CHAR KUEY TEOW SEDAP GILER. I especially can't wait to eat the char kuey teow uptown.

FFXIII hurry up and come out. I need to play. Play you. Ngeee~~~
(But then again, going through the PS3 games list... I don't see many games that I'm attracted to. DS had waaay better games, even PSP too. Oh well, PS3 is relatively new and the only reason why I'm excited about this console is because of the upcoming FFXIII. Other than that, I think the list of games are too limited. People said the same things when XBox and PS2 first came out, but now they have quite a lot of epic games under their belt. Time will tell.

Right after structure class, we saw the shiny new machine and flocked around it like bees around honey. I was the first to try it out.... everyone was like Gila Jakun, I swear.

Candy gets vended (is that a word??) out: "ooooooooooooooooo!" *clapclapclapclap*
